The RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo are versatile audio interfaces that allow you to connect your mobile phone for easy integration with your audio production setup.
Connecting your mobile device is an excellent method to incorporate a virtual guest into a podcast or introduce an additional audio source, such as Spotify or YouTube, into the audio mix.
Connecting via Bluetooth for Phone Calls
One of the key features of the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo is their ability to handle phone calls during your recording or live streaming sessions. To connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth for phone calls, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the settings menu.
- Choose the option labeled "System"option
- Select the "Bluetooth" option.
- On your mobile phone, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo from the list of available devices.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
- Once the pairing is successful, you can now use your mobile phone with the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.

Connecting via USB
In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, you can also connect your mobile device directly to the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo via USB. This allows for a more stable and reliable connection, especially if you're experiencing any issues with Bluetooth or in a high RF traffic area.
If your mobile device has a USB-C port, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect it to the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo. For iOS devices with a Lightning port, you will need an MFI USB cable such as the SC15, SC19, or SC21
Once you have the appropriate cable, follow these steps to connect your mobile device via USB:
- Ensure that your RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo is powered on.
- Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB2 port on the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to your mobile device.
- Your mobile device should now be coming thought the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo USB2 channel.
