Can I use the RØDECaster Pro II/Duo to Live Stream to TikTok Live on my Smartphone?

Yes! You can use the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo to stream directly to TikTok Live using a mobile device or a computer running TikTok Studio.

This setup allows you to use studio-quality microphones via XLR or USB, play audio from apps such as Spotify or YouTube, and trigger custom SMART pads during your livestream.

Streaming to TikTok Live on Android

To stream directly to TikTok Live using an Android device:

  • Connect your Android device to USB2 on the RØDECaster Pro II / Duo
  • Use a high-speed data cable such as the SC17, SC22, SC27, or SC16

To avoid audio playback issues with guests or call-ins, ensure USB2 routing is set to Mix Minus.

Settings > Outputs > Routing > USB2 > Mix Minus

Streaming to TikTok Live on iPhone and iPad

Apple devices require the correct data transfer cable depending on the connector type.

iPhone 14 and Earlier (Lightning)

For iPhones with a Lightning connector, connect the device to USB2 using a certified Lightning accessory cable such as the SC19 or SC21.

Please note: Standard charging or sync cables may not support audio transmission and may prevent the device from working correctly with TikTok Live.

iPhone 15 and Newer (USB-C)

For USB-C iPhones and iPads, connect the device to USB2 using a high-speed data cable such as the SC17, SC22, SC27, or SC16.

Streaming with TikTok Studio on a Computer

You can also use the RØDECaster Pro II / Duo with TikTok Studio on Windows or macOS.

  • Connect the RØDECaster to your computer using the USB1 port
  • Open TikTok Studio and select the RØDECaster Pro II / Duo as both the microphone and audio device
  • Configure your microphone channels, music playback, and SMART pads as required

Charging Your Phone Whilst Streaming

Results may vary when using third-party USB-C or Lightning splitter adaptors to charge your device while streaming.

While some adaptors may function correctly, we cannot guarantee compatibility as not all models have been tested.

For USB-C Apple devices, Samsung Galaxy devices, and Google Pixel models, we have seen positive results using the following Belkin adaptor:

Belkin USB-C Audio + Charge Adapter 

Wireless charging via a charging dock or power bank may provide a simpler alternative while livestreaming.
