The RØDECaster Pro II and Duo are a great audio interface for recording but can also be used for Podcasts and Podcasting software like Riverside FM and Cleanfeed. The below guide will help you understand how best to connect to these with minimal issue.
First, you'll need ensure that the Sample Rate matches, in that in Riverside FM and Cleanfeed, you'll need to ensure that you're set to 48kHz otherwise you may find that the quality of audio recorded may sound weird or distorted - this is because the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo are set to 48kHz. (Available only on the Riverside FM Pro Subscription).
Riverside FM suggests using 44.1kHz when recording Audio Only, however this would only apply to Interfaces or Microphones that allow you to switch between the two.
Change the sample rate in Riverside FM
To change the sample rate in Riverside, follow these steps:
- Open the Riverside.fm studio
- Go to your recording studio
- Select Settings
- Click on Studio Settings
- Go to the Recording Tab
- Choose the 48kHz option
Setting up with Riverside FM
- Once you have the RØDECaster connected to your computer, using Riverside FM, you'll want to open the Studio and select your inputs before going live.
- Next, you'll want to ensure the correct channel is selected.
- We'd suggest to select RØDECaster Chat as this channel uses the Mix Minus Feature, so that your voice isn't doubling back through Riverside's Audio channels.
- For the Speakers, you'll want to Select RØDECaster Main Stereo or Chat depending on your needs (Main Stereo if you don't have zoom or teams in use for your Podcast.
- For RØDECaster Chat, you'll just need to ensure that software is also using RØDECaster Chat as the Audio Output so it works.
You should be ready to go after completing this, run a test or two to make sure it's working correctly before going live.

Setting up with Cleanfeed
Once you have the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo connected to your computer, using Cleanfeed, you'll want to ensure within Cleanfeed the correct channels are selected for recording your Audio and for playback.
- Set your input device using the gear icon next to your name. Choose RØDECASTER Chat.
- After selecting your input, choose your output.
- It's recommended to use RØDECaster Main Multitrack.
Once completed, you're ready to proceed. Run a test or two, including a live feed test, to ensure everything works correctly.
