The Smart Pads on the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo allow you to record audio directly onto a pad for instant playback. You can record virtually any audio source, including microphones, Bluetooth audio, USB devices or external inputs.
Record Audio to a Smart Pad
- Ensure your RØDECaster is powered on and the audio source you want to record is connected and producing audio.
- Press the + button on the Smart Pad you want to record to.
- Select Sound.
- Press the Record button on the Smart Pad.
- Play or speak into the audio source you want to capture.
- When you've finished recording, press Stop.
- Trim the recording if required, then tap the green tick to save it to the Smart Pad.
Tip: You can record audio from any source routed through the RØDECaster, making Smart Pads ideal for capturing intros, jingles, sound effects and custom announcements.
Please note: Ensure the audio source is routed to the main mix and its channel level is high enough before recording. If the source is muted or not assigned correctly, no audio will be captured.
