Before heading out on location, it is important to prepare your Wireless GO II to ensure reliable recording throughout your shoot. This checklist covers the key settings and recommendations to help you capture every take with confidence.
Enable Onboard Recordings
Each Wireless GO II transmitter can record over 24 hours of compressed audio or approximately 7 hours of uncompressed audio. Onboard recordings provide a valuable backup in case of wireless interference or other unexpected issues during recording.

Export Your Recordings After Each Shoot
Use RØDE Central on your computer to access, optimise, export and delete recordings stored on your transmitters. Exporting your recordings after each session helps prevent important files from being overwritten.
Fully Charge Your Equipment
Charge both transmitters and the receiver to 100% before your recording session to maximise operating time.
For longer shoots, consider taking a portable USB power bank or the Wireless GO II Charge Case to recharge your equipment on location.
Optimise Camera Gain
If you are connecting your Wireless GO II to a camera, configure the receiver gain using the appropriate camera preset in RØDE Central. This helps achieve the best signal level while minimising background noise.
