We have curated a short checklist to ensure optimal utilization of the Wireless GO II during on-location recording. Please ensure the following features are enabled to maximize the performance of your Wireless GO II kit.
Confirm that the Onboard recordings feature is enabled
The Wireless GO II transmitters are capable of recording over 24 hours of compressed audio or 7 hours of uncompressed audio each. Keep in mind that once storage is full, the oldest recordings will be overwritten for new recordings. You can manage and export these recordings through RØDE Central desktop app.
Manage Onboard Recordings Through RØDE Central Desktop App.
Utilize RØDE Central desktop app to access, optimize, export, and delete recordings from the Wireless GO II transmitters. We recommend exporting audio recordings after each session to prevent overwriting of previously recorded audio files.
Charge Units to Full Capacity
It is advisable to fully charge the Wireless GO II units to 100% the night before your shoot. This maximizes the battery life and ensures uninterrupted operation during your shooting sessions.
For longer recording sessions, we'd recommend using a power source such as a portable charger or Wireless GO II Charging Case to charge the units on location.
Optimising Gain Levels for your Camera model
When using the Wireless GO II with a camera, optimize the gain level on the receiver based on your camera model. This ensures the best audio quality for your specific setup.
