You can use the RØDE Wireless system to amplify voices through a powered portable speaker — ideal for outdoor events or exercise classes. This works with the Wireless GO, Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, and Wireless PRO, as long as your portable Bluetooth speaker includes a 3.5mm AUX input.
Pro Tip: If your Bluetooth speaker has a 6.5mm (1/4") port or an XLR port, you can use HJA-4 or VXLR Pro adapters.
- Ensure that the Wireless RX (Receiver) is set to 0 dB.
- This setting maximises the output signal delivered to the speaker.
- Using a compatible TRS cable (such as the SC2 or SC5), connect the receiver’s 3.5mm output to the speaker’s 3.5mm AUX input.
- Turn on the portable speaker and adjust the volume to the desired level.
- If using external microphones or Lavaliers with the Wireless transmitter, connect them to the transmitter now.
Caution: To prevent feedback, keep the Wireless transmitter away from the speaker before turning it on.
- Gently tap on the microphone or Lavalier to confirm the signal is reaching the speaker.
You can now use the transmitter as a wireless live microphone, projecting voices clearly through the powered portable Bluetooth speaker.
