If you need to restore your RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo to its factory settings, you can perform a factory reset directly from the device or by using the RØDECaster app on your computer.
Please note: A factory reset permanently erases all Shows, Smart Pad content, recordings and custom settings stored on the device. Before proceeding, back up any important Shows, Smart Pad sounds and recordings to a microSD card or external USB storage device.
Method 1: Using the RØDECaster Interface
- Open Settings.
- Select System.
- Tap Information.
- Select View Device Information.
- Tap Erase and Reset Device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the factory reset.
Please note: The factory reset process may take up to 2 minutes to complete. Do not disconnect power while the reset is in progress.
Method 2: Using the RØDECaster App
- Connect your RØDECaster to your computer and open the RØDECaster app.
- Click the Settings icon.
RØDECaster App: You can download the latest RØDECaster App from here.
- Click Factory Reset.
- When prompted, disconnect the USB cable from the RØDECaster, then reconnect it to complete the reset process.
Tip: If you're only trying to restore the factory Smart Pad sounds and FX, creating a new Show is recommended instead of performing a factory reset, as it preserves your existing Shows and settings.
