The RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo work seamlessly with browser-based recording platforms such as Riverside FM and Cleanfeed. Following the recommended settings below will ensure the best audio quality and prevent common issues such as echo or distorted audio.
Check the Sample Rate
The RØDECaster operates at a fixed 48 kHz sample rate. If your recording software is configured to use a different sample rate, you may experience distorted or incorrectly pitched audio.
Riverside FM Pro subscribers can manually select the recording sample rate, while Cleanfeed automatically uses the sample rate provided by the connected audio interface.
Riverside FM
- Open your Riverside studio.
- Select Settings.
- Open Studio Settings.
- Select the Recording tab.
- Set the sample rate to 48 kHz.
Set Up Riverside FM
- Connect your RØDECaster to your computer and open your Riverside studio.
- Set the Input Device to RØDECaster Chat.
- Set the Output Device to either:
- RØDECaster Main Stereo for general podcasting.
- RØDECaster Chat if you want all conference audio routed through the Chat mix.
- Perform a short test recording before starting your session.
Set Up Cleanfeed
Cleanfeed uses the same recommended audio routing as Riverside FM.
- Select RØDECaster Chat as your input device.
- Select RØDECaster Main Stereo as your output device.
- Run a short test recording before beginning your session.
