The RØDECaster Series interfaces are ideal for streaming and providing live audio at a venue such as live podcasts or ceremonies.
Setup the Outputs
To ensure the audience hears the host, guests, and other audio sources, connect the RØDECaster to PA speakers or another mixer using the two monitor 1/4" Balanced outputs.
Use the Correct Microphones
For live audio in a venue, it's best to use dynamic or Lavalier microphones. They perform better in these settings than condenser microphones, which can pick up unwanted feedback and other problems due to their higher sensitivity.
Connect Remote Guests
To include remote guests and/or play music during the event, connect the RØDECaster to a computer via USB or even connect a mobile device via Bluetooth. This enables the integration of various audio sources for a professional presentation.
For more information about how to setup a mobile with the RØDECaster Pro /Duo, please see our article here: How to Set Up the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo with a Mobile Phone
Record Audio for Future Content
If you want to record the event, connect a microSD card or USB drive (for RØDECaster Pro II/Duo) to the RØDECaster. This allows you to capture all audio sources for easy editing and archiving post-event.
