By default, the Wireless PRO receiver (RX) is designed to automatically power on or off when the camera it's connected to powers on or off, as long as it detects power.
Before you begin using the automatic power on/off feature, it's important to ensure your RX is powered off. This step is crucial to ensure the receiver syncs correctly with your camera.
If you wish to disable the automatic power on/off feature, you can easily do so via the RØDE Central software.
How to automatically turn on the Wireless PRO receiver with a camera:
- Ensure the Wireless PRO receiver is powered off before turning on your camera.
- Connect the receiver to your camera using the appropriate cables or adapters.
- Power on your camera.
- The receiver will automatically power on once it detects power from the camera.
- You can now enjoy wireless audio transmission from your camera to the receiver.
To disable the automatic power on/off feature on the Wireless PRO receiver:
- Launch the RØDE Central software on your computer.
- Connect the Wireless PRO receiver to your computer using a USB cable.
- In the RØDE Central software, navigate to the Receiver (RX) settings section.
- Locate the option "Plug-in Detect" to disable the automatic power on/off feature.
- Toggle the setting to disable the feature.
