How to Record Timecode with a Zoom Recorder

Using timecode with a Zoom Recorder simplifies syncing audio and video, especially with professional gear like the Wireless PRO system. 

• First, configure the Wireless PRO receiver in the RØDE Central App to output Timecode 1 (TC1).
  • This generates the timecode signal needed for syncing.

• Ensure the Wireless PRO timecode frame rate matches your camera’s frame rate to avoid sync issues.
  • If your camera supports timecode jamming, connect the Wireless PRO receiver to the camera first to sync clocks, then connect it to the Zoom Recorder for perfect alignment.

• Next, connect the Wireless PRO receiver to your Zoom Recorder.
  • If your Zoom doesn't have an 3.5mm mic input, use two VXLR PRO or 6.5mm HJA adapters with the SC11 cable to split the signal into the Zoom’s two XLR inputs.
• The receiver sends audio from the TX to the left channel and timecode to the right channel, allowing the Zoom to capture both simultaneously for easy post-production sync.
