Video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet use automatic audio processing to reduce background noise and improve speech clarity. In some situations, these filters can unintentionally suppress audio from your RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo, including Smart Pad playback, music, sound effects or other non-voice audio.
Adjust Zoom Audio Settings
To achieve the best audio quality, reduce Zoom's background noise suppression to Low (or the lowest available setting).
Tip: If available, enable Original Sound in Zoom to bypass most audio processing and preserve the full audio signal from your RØDECaster.
Please note: Similar noise suppression and audio enhancement features are enabled by default in many video conferencing applications, including Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. If participants cannot hear Smart Pad playback, music or other non-voice audio, check the application's audio settings and reduce any background noise filtering where possible.
