The RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo, RØDECaster Video and the Streamer X are all designed to be compatible with a huge range of headphones, including many popular In-Ear Monitors (IEMs). To ensure you get the best possible sound quality and usable volume control, we included a feature called High-Sensitivity Mode (Please note, this is not available on the Streamer X).
What Does High-Sensitivity Mode Actually Do?
Your RØDECaster is equipped with a professional, high-power headphone amplifier. This is a great feature because it means you have enough power to drive any pair of studio headphones, no matter how demanding they are.
Because IEMs are incredibly efficient, you would have to set the headphone volume incredibly low to get a comfortable listening level without this mode. Operating the volume control at its lowest extremity isn't ideal for audio fidelity or for making precise level adjustments.
Activating High-Sensitivity Mode optimises the amplifier's entire volume range for these sensitive devices. This allows you to use the volume knob in a more effective and precise range (e.g., around the middle, instead of near zero), ensuring a balanced, high-quality audio signal.

Recommended Models
To make things simple and guarantee you have a great experience, we have put together a short list of IEMs that perform with either no or almost no-audible levels of IEM hiss on the RØDECaster PRO II and DUO.
