Virtual Devices offer powerful routing capabilities, making them ideal for users with complex audio setups. However, they might be unnecessary for everyday use of the RØDECaster Pro II or Duo. If you don't need to route audio between different applications, you likely won't need Virtual Devices.
- Virtual Devices work best for Windows users. This is because Windows allows you to route all your different applications independently to their own audio outputs.
-
- Mac users do not have this option available to them due to MacOS limitations, and usually require additional paid software from a third party to achieve this.
-
- Users who want independent controls of their computers' audio applications for listening back through the RØDECaster.
-
- This could be streamers and content creators who need to manage multiple inputs and outputs with a physical fader from the RØDECaster.
-
- Audio Pros looking to include multiple computer software sources in their recordings or livestreams.
