Having a valid proof of purchase can save you time and hassle when dealing with warranty claims. It is a valuable document that protects both the buyer and the seller by providing evidence of the transaction.
A proof of purchase can come in different forms, depending on the type of transaction and the seller's policies. Let's take a closer look at some common examples of what is considered a valid proof of purchase with RØDE.

Receipts
A receipt from the RØDE authorised reseller is perhaps the most common and widely accepted form of proof of purchase. It is a document provided by the seller that confirms the details of the transaction, including:
- Date
- Name of Reseller (Sold by)
- Time
- Items purchased
- Prices
- Any applicable taxes or discounts
Receipts can be in paper or digital format, such as email confirmations or electronic receipts.
Invoice
An invoice is similar to a receipt but is usually issued by the RØDE authorised reseller to the buyer before the payment is made. It includes the same details as a receipt, but it serves as a formal request for payment.

If you don't have a receipt or invoice for the purchase of your RØDE product(s), a bank or credit card statement can also be considered in some scenarios. Contact our service team to see if a bank statement can be used as valid proof of purchase.
Items purchased on second-hand marketplaces are not considered authorised resellers of RØDE Products. However, if the seller has the original proof of purchase and is still valid, they may transfer the warranty to you through the assistance of our Service Team.
