Smart Pad Ducking automatically lowers the volume of Smart Pad audio, such as music beds or sound effects, whenever someone speaks into a microphone. Once speech stops, the Smart Pad audio smoothly returns to its previous level.
This feature helps maintain a balanced audio mix during podcasts, livestreams and broadcasts without requiring manual volume adjustments.
Benefits of Smart Pad Ducking
- Clearer speech – Automatically lowers music beds so voices remain easy to understand.
- Professional audio mix – Keeps background audio at an appropriate level without overwhelming the presenter.
- Less post-production – Reduces the need to manually adjust music levels after recording.
Tip: Ducking works particularly well with background music on Smart Pads, allowing you to create polished introductions, outros and live broadcasts while keeping dialogue clear.
Please note: Ducking only affects audio played from the Smart Pads. It does not automatically reduce the level of other microphones or external audio inputs.
