On the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo, you can switch an EQ control from Gain to Q for more precise frequency adjustment.
The Q control changes how wide or narrow the affected frequency range is, making it useful when you want to target a specific frequency more precisely.
Switch from Gain to Q
- Open the EQ for the channel you want to adjust.
- Press and hold any of the High, Mid or Low Gain controls.
- The control will switch from Gain to Q.
- Adjust the Q value to change the width of the frequency range being affected.
What Does the Q Control Do?
A wider Q setting affects a broader range of frequencies around the selected frequency.
A narrower Q setting focuses the adjustment on a much smaller frequency range, which can be useful when you want to notch out a specific frequency.
Use a narrower Q setting when you want to make a more precise EQ adjustment without affecting as many surrounding frequencies.
