Mix-minus is a routing feature found on the RØDECaster Series products.
For the Bluetooth and USB outputs on the RØDECaster, the Mix-Minus option uses the same settings as the main mix but excludes the selected channel’s input (USB 1’s input on USB 1's output channel, for instance) to avoid feedback or echo
Essentially, Mix-minus functionality allows hosts or presenters to audibly monitor all audio sources, including microphones, phone calls, and sound effects, through their headphones. However, when Mix-Minus is enabled, their own voice is not redirected back into the RØDECaster Series. This feature effectively eliminates any potential echo or feedback.
With this feature, hosts can confidently engage with guests or callers, ensuring smooth conversations without audio feedback/echo. It simplifies the audio setup and enhances the overall quality of the production.
