Why 3rd Party USB Microphones Aren't Compatible with RØDECaster Pro II / Duo

The RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo are designed to work exclusively with RØDE USB microphones.

While many USB microphones use standard USB audio, RØDE USB microphones support additional two-way communication with the RØDECaster. This allows the mixer and microphone to work together, providing features that are not available with third-party USB microphones.

Why Are RØDE USB Microphones Supported?

• Real-time microphone control – Adjust compatible microphone settings, including onboard DSP processing, directly from the RØDECaster touchscreen.
• Integrated headphone monitoring – The RØDECaster controls the direct monitoring level of the microphone's built-in headphone output, providing a seamless zero-latency monitoring experience.
