How to Setup RØDECaster Sync with the RØDECaster Video Core & RØDECaster Pro II / Duo

RØDECaster Sync allows a RØDECaster Video, RØDECaster Video S or RØDECaster Video Core to integrate with a RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo, creating a unified audio and video production system.

When connected, both devices share audio routing and control, giving you access to expanded inputs, outputs and hands on mixing from your RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.

Follow the steps below to set up RØDECaster Sync.

What Happens in Sync Mode?

Once RØDECaster Sync is enabled, the connected devices share a single nine channel mixer.

You can assign inputs from either device to the shared mixer and control the combined setup using the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo, including:

• Physical and virtual faders
• Mute and listen controls
• SMART pads
• Touchscreen controls

Changes made to the shared mixer while using Sync Mode remain saved to the connected RØDECaster Video series device after exiting Sync Mode.

Before You Begin

• Ensure both devices are powered on.
• Update both devices to the latest firmware using the RØDECaster App.
• Have a USB-C cable ready.

Connecting the Devices

Connect your RØDECaster Video series device to a RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo using USB-C.

1. Connect the USB-C cable between your compatible RØDECaster Video series device and the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.
2. When the connection is detected, a prompt will appear on the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo display asking if you want to enter Sync Mode.
3. Confirm the prompt to enable RØDECaster Sync.

Manually Entering or Exiting Sync Mode

You can manually enter or exit Sync Mode at any time from the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Operation Mode.
3. Select Sync Mode.
