When using either 4K Capture or FHD Capture mode, your RØDECaster Video unit will have a different set of settings available on the device itself and within the RØDECaster App.
Use the sections below to understand the settings available while using these capture modes.
Video > NDI (1,2,3,4)
Here you can enable or disable each of your NDI outputs.
When using the original RØDECaster Video, you can also choose whether the NDI 4 output is assigned to Camera 4 or the Multi-view.
Video > Frame Rate
In 4K Capture mode, your RØDECaster is capable of global frame rates up to and including 30fps.
In FHD Capture mode, the maximum global frame rate is increased to 60fps.
Video > Recording/NDI
This menu allows you to select the codec and bitrate used for your NDI outputs.
- Codec: Select either H.264 or H.265.
- Bitrate: Select from the available bitrate options.
When using either 4K Capture or FHD Capture mode, the bitrate setting controls both the ISO recordings and NDI outputs.
Remote Control > Multi-view
Here you can choose between the Standard and Quad displays for the Multi-view output sent to NDI 4.
Standard
The Standard display includes additional on screen information, such as:
- Audio levels for the full mixer
- Recording and storage details
- Network information
- Transmission speed
Quad
Quad mode displays each of the four possible outputs without the additional information shown in Standard mode.
You can also choose to display the audio meters for HDMI 1 to HDMI 4.
Remote Control
In place of the Scene Builder, the Remote Control screen allows you to control and monitor the available video inputs while using 4K Capture or FHD Capture mode.
From this screen, you can:
- View your Multi-view
- Perform simple switching between HDMI inputs using buttons 1 to 4 for monitoring
- Inspect input details
- Drop markers
