When manually pairing your Wireless units, it is essential that both the Transmitter and Receiver are in their pairing mode at the same time. If both units are not simultaneously in their pairing mode, they will not recognise each other.
On the Transmitter units, this may at first be difficult to tell. However, these steps below can assist you to ensure that your Transmitter is in pairing mode.
(Please Note, these steps apply to the following RØDE Wireless models: Wireless GO, Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, Wireless GO Gen 3, Wireless Pro, Interview Pro)
- While powered on, check that the chain link LED is flashing. This indicates that the Transmitter is not paired. If the chain link LED is solid, it may be the other Transmitter unit that needs to be paired instead.
- Give the power button (Ø) on the Transmitter a short click. Be sure not to hold the button for too long, or the unit will instead power off. After giving the button a click, you should see the rate of flashing on the chain link LED increase. The increased rate of flashing indicates that your Transmitter is now in its pairing mode.
- After a short amount of time, the Transmitter will exit its pairing mode. This is indicated by the rate of flashing returning to its slower, default state. Perform step 2 again to enter the Transmitter into its pairing mode once more.
After ensuring that your Transmitter units are in pairing mode, follow the rest of the manual pairing procedure for your device. You can confirm that your Transmitter and Receiver are paired by checking that the chain link LED is solid.
