Enabling keying on the RØDECaster Video is a straightforward process that allows you to enhance your video production by utilising a green or blue screen setup. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
Set Up Your Green or Blue Screen
- Begin by properly positioning your green or blue screen behind your subject.
- Ensure the screen is wrinkle-free and evenly lit to avoid shadows, which can interfere with the keying process.
- Position your camera at an appropriate distance to capture the entire screen without any edges visible in the frame.
- Select the Key Button
- On the RØDECaster Video, locate and press the key button. This action will activate the keying feature, allowing you to manipulate the background of your video.
- Choose Your Screen Colour
- Utilise the arrows to select either the green or blue screen option, depending on your setup. This selection informs the system which colour to remove from the video feed.
- Make the Background Transparent
- This will render the background invisible, allowing for a clean and professional look.
Pro Tip - Add a Media Background: Alternatively, you can enhance your video by selecting media such as an image or an MP4 file to serve as the background. This feature allows for creative possibilities, making your video more engaging and visually appealing.
