Updating the firmware of your RØDECaster Video is an essential process to ensure that your device operates with the latest features and improvements.
There are two methods to perform this update: through the RØDE Central application on your computer or directly from the RØDECaster Video itself.
Method 1: From RØDE Central
- Begin by opening the RØDE Central application on your computer. Make sure that your RØDECaster Video is connected to the computer via USB 2.
- Once connected, If an update is available, you will see a red arrow indicating that a firmware update can be performed.
Method 2: From the RØDECaster Video
- If your RØDECaster Video is connected to the internet, look for a green arrow on the settings icon, which signifies that an update is available.
- To initiate the update, select the settings option from the main screen.
- Next, navigate to the 'Device' section.
- Then, select 'About' to view the current firmware version and check for updates.
- Finally, choose the 'Update' option. You will be prompted to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update process.
