How to Pair the Interview PRO to a Receiver

The Interview PRO can be seamlessly paired with a range of RØDE Wireless Series IV products, including the Wireless GO II and RØDECaster Pro II. The process of pairing with Interview PRO is straightforward, with the below RØDE Wireless Series IV:

  • Wireless GO II 
  • Wireless PRO
  • Wireless ME
  • RØDECaster Pro II / DUO
  • Streamer X

It is important to take note of the LED behaviours of the Interview PRO during the pairing process.

  1. When paired / charging: The LED will be a solid green LED.

  2. When unpaired: The LED will do a double flash in the colour indicating the battery status.

  3. When pairing: Fast Flashing blue LED.

    • This will occur when the Interview PRO is turned on and looking to pair.
    • It’ll timeout after 5 seconds and revert to the unpaired state.

Wireless GO II

  1. Make sure that both the Wireless GO II and Interview PRO are updated to the latest firmware version as specified in RØDE Central.
  2. To put the Interview PRO into pairing mode, ensure that it is turned off and then press and hold the power button located at the bottom of the microphone.
  3. Keep holding the button until you see a double flash green LED, indicating that the microphone is in pairing mode.
  4. Once the power button is released, proceed to put the Wireless GO II RX into pairing mode. Please see our article here How to manually pair the Wireless GO II Transmitter to the Receiver
  5. After activating the pairing mode on both units, proceed to press the power button on the Interview PRO unit once.

Wireless PRO

  1. Ensure that both the Wireless PRO and Interview PRO are updated to the latest firmware version as specified in RØDE Central.
  2. To activate pairing mode on the Interview PRO, make sure it is turned off and then press and hold the power button located at the bottom of the microphone.
  3. Continue holding the button until you observe a double flash green LED, indicating that the microphone is now in pairing mode.
  4. Once the power button is released, proceed to activate pairing mode on the Wireless PRO RX. For detailed instructions, please refer to our article on How to manually pair the Wireless PRO Transmitter to the Receiver.
  5. After activating pairing mode on both units, press the power button on the Interview PRO unit once.

Wireless ME

  1. Ensure that both the Wireless ME and Interview PRO are updated to the latest firmware version as specified in RØDE Central.
  2. To activate pairing mode on the Interview PRO, make sure it is turned off and then press and hold the power button located at the bottom of the microphone.
  3. Continue holding the button until you observe a double flash of the green LED, indicating that the microphone is now in pairing mode.
  4. After releasing the power button, proceed to activate pairing mode on the Wireless ME RX. Please refer to our article on How to manually pair the Wireless ME Transmitter to the Receiver for detailed instructions.
  5. Once both units are in pairing mode, press the power button on the Interview PRO unit once.

RØDECaster Pro II / RØDECaster Duo

  1. Ensure that both the RØDECaster Pro II/ Duo and Interview PRO have been updated to the latest firmware version as specified in RØDE Central.
  2. To activate pairing mode on the Interview PRO, make sure it is turned off and then press and hold the power button located at the bottom of the microphone.
  3. Continue holding the button until you observe a double flash of the green LED, indicating that the microphone is now in pairing mode.
  4. Once the power button is released, proceed to activate pairing mode on the RØDECaster Pro II/ Duo. For detailed instructions, please refer to our article on How to pair a Wireless Series IV Transmitter to the RØDECaster Pro II/ Duo.
  5. After both units have entered pairing mode, press the power button on the Interview PRO unit once.

Streamer X

  1. Ensure that both Streamer X and Interview PRO have been updated to the latest firmware version as specified in RØDE Central.
  2. To activate pairing mode on the Interview PRO, make sure it is turned off and then press and hold the power button located at the bottom of the microphone.
  3. Continue holding the button until you observe a double flash of the green LED, indicating that the microphone is now in pairing mode.
  4. Activate the pairing mode on the Streamer X by pressing and holding the microphone dial button until it blinks.
  5. After both units have entered pairing mode, press the power button on the Interview PRO unit once.
