Updating the Firmware of the Interview PRO using the RØDE Central desktop app is essential if you've just purchased the Interview PRO as it unlocks new features, capabilities and connectivity of the Interview PRO.
You can also configure device settings and activate or deactivate functions with ease. Access advanced features, including the fine gain control and safety channel. Optimise and export on-board recordings (desktop only) and set up your preferred recording mode, and update your device firmware to access the latest features.
- Firstly, make sure you're using the latest version of the RØDE Central desktop app on a Mac or PC.
- Make sure you computer is on MacOS 10.15 or later/ Windows 10 Version 1803 or later
The latest firmware is available to download from here.

- Once you've downloaded and install the latest version of the RØDE Central desktop app, connect the Interview PRO directly to the computer with the included USB cable, you will see a red up arrow next to the units that require a firmware update.
- After pressing the red up arrow, you'll be prompted to update the Interview PRO.
After updating the Interview PRO units to the latest firmware, you can now setup and customise this microphone to your particular needs.
