The terms 'receiver' and 'transmitter' are common terms for wireless microphone systems. These terms refer to the purpose of each unit:
- The transmitter, also known as TX, transmits audio from its built-in/external mic wirelessly to the receiver.
- The receiver, also known as RX, receives that signal from the transmitter and sends it to the recording device, such as a camera, mobile device or computer.
To differentiate the two with the Wireless GO, Wireless GO II, and Wireless PRO kits, the transmitter (TX) has the built-in mic on the top of the unit and the receiver (RX) has the display screen.
