The Streamer X works seamlessly with OBS Studio, allowing you to capture HDMI video, game audio and microphone audio through a single device.
Follow the steps below to connect your Streamer X and configure it in OBS.
Connect Your Hardware
- Connect an HDMI cable from your gaming console or computer to the HDMI IN port on the Streamer X.
- Connect a second HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the Streamer X to your monitor or display.
- Connect the supplied SuperSpeed USB-C cable between the USB 1 port on the Streamer X and your computer.
Please note: For reliable video capture, always use the supplied SuperSpeed USB-C cable or another USB 3.0 SuperSpeed cable.
Add the Video Source in OBS
- Open OBS Studio.
- In the Sources panel, click the + button.
- Select Video Capture Device.
- Select Streamer X as the capture device.
The HDMI video from your connected console or computer should now appear in the OBS preview window.
Please note: If OBS displays "No Source Detected", ensure the HDMI source is powered on and verify that both HDMI cables are securely connected.
Add the Audio Sources
Once the video has been configured, you can add the Streamer X audio devices to OBS.
- Click the + button in the Sources panel.
- Select Audio Input Capture.
- Add the following audio devices as required:
- Streamer X Main – Microphones or instruments connected to the Streamer X.
- Streamer X HDMI – Audio from your connected HDMI source, such as a gaming console.
You're Ready to Stream
Your Streamer X is now configured for use with OBS Studio. You can further customise your setup by creating scenes, adjusting audio levels, configuring stream settings, and adding transitions to suit your workflow.
