This guide will walk you through connecting the Streamer X to Riverside and configuring the correct audio and video inputs.
Getting Started
Begin by connecting the Streamer X directly to your computer using the supplied USB-C SuperSpeed cable.
- Connect your camera or video source to the Streamer X HDMI Input.
- Connect your microphone to the Streamer X.
- Launch the RØDECaster App and verify that both audio and video are functioning correctly.
Selecting Inputs in Riverside
Once you have entered your Riverside studio, select the Streamer X as your primary audio and video device.
In the Riverside lobby or settings menu, configure the following:
Video Input:Streamer X HDMI
Audio Input (Microphone):Streamer X Main
Audio Output (Speaker):Streamer X
Managing Audio Levels
When participating in a Riverside call or recording, we recommend adjusting your microphone gain and processing within the Streamer X rather than relying on Riverside's software controls.
- Set microphone gain using the Streamer X controls.
- Apply processing such as compression, EQ, and noise reduction within the RØDECaster App.
- Use Riverside's level controls only for minor adjustments if required.
This provides the cleanest possible audio signal and helps avoid clipping or excessive digital gain.
