The RØDECaster Video does indeed come equipped with internal storage; however, this space is primarily reserved for essential functions such as firmware updates, default media files, and a selection of MP4 files. If you intend to import your own media files for use in your productions, it is highly advisable to utilize a microSD card. This will allow for greater flexibility and storage capacity.
To effectively load your media onto the RØDECaster Video, you will need to insert a microSD card.
- We suggest opting for cards that are rated UHS-I class or higher, ensuring they have a minimum write speed of 30MB/s to facilitate smooth operation.
Additionally, for recording your productions, you will need to connect a USB mass storage device, such as an external SSD or a thumb drive, formatted in exFAT. Fortunately, the RØDECaster Video has the capability to format your storage device via the USB 3 port.
