What is RØDECaster Sync?

RØDECaster Sync allows a RØDECaster Video, RØDECaster Video S or RØDECaster Video Core to integrate with a RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo as one unified AV production system.

Using a single USB-C cable, RØDECaster Sync combines the audio and video capabilities of both devices, providing greater control and expanded input and output flexibility.

Compatible RØDECaster Video Devices

RØDECaster Sync is available with the following RØDECaster Video series devices:

• RØDECaster Video
• RØDECaster Video S
• RØDECaster Video Core

These can be used with:

• RØDECaster Pro II
• RØDECaster Duo

Enhanced Interface

When RØDECaster Sync is enabled, you can control audio and video across the connected devices from your RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.

• Use physical and virtual faders
• Access mute and listen buttons
• Trigger SMART pads
• Manage settings using the touchscreen display

This provides hands on control over your combined audio and video production setup from a single interface.

Expanded Inputs and Outputs

RØDECaster Sync makes the audio inputs and outputs from both connected devices available as part of the combined production setup.

• Access audio inputs and outputs from both devices
• Gain greater routing flexibility than a standalone RØDECaster setup
• Manage larger or more complex audio and video productions

Sync Mode Mixer Behaviour

In Sync Mode, both devices share a single nine channel mixer. This mixer is initially populated using the current configuration on your connected RØDECaster Video series device at the moment RØDECaster Sync is established.

You can assign any input from either device to this shared mixer. Any adjustments made while in Sync Mode will remain saved to the connected RØDECaster Video series device, even after exiting Sync Mode on the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo.

This creates an integrated production system where your RØDECaster audio and video devices can operate together as one workflow.
