Getting Started with the RØDECaster Video

When you first receive the RØDECaster Video, while you can use the unit out of the box, we'd suggest a couple of things to perform with the kit before using it for recording to maximise the potential of the RØDECaster Video.

• Make sure you update the firmware of the RØDECaster Video using the RØDE Central desktop app on a Mac or PC by downloading the software here.
  1. This ensures that the latest features and updates are applied.
  2. You can also update the RØDECaster Video firmware using WIFI, Ethernet or Mobile Hotspot.

• Connect a MicroSD card to the RØDECaster Video.
  1. This useful feature allows you to store media content on the RØDECaster Video
     

• Set up Video recording by connecting a USB drive to USB3 on the RØDECaster Video. 
  1. This is ideal for people wanting to edit recorded content for reuploading in editing software.
