If your Wireless Series IV receiver (RX) is not recognised by your mobile device, there are several steps you can take to identify and resolve the issue.
What Are Wireless Series IV products? These are the latest versions of products in our Wireless Series range such as the Wireless GO II, Wireless GO (3rd Gen), Wireless ME, Wireless PRO and Interview PRO
Update Firmware
- Ensure your Wireless RX is running the latest firmware
- Connect the RX to a computer and open the RØDE Central desktop app
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete any available updates
Note: Firmware updates can improve compatibility and resolve recognition issues.
RØDE Central: You can download the latest RØDE Central desktop app from here.
Check Your Cable
- For iPhone (Lightning), use an MFi-certified cable or adapter
- For USB-C devices (Android / iPhone 15 and newer), try a different USB-C cable
- Ensure the cable supports data transfer, not just charging
Important: Not all USB-C cables support data. Using a charge-only cable will prevent the RX from being recognised.
Test with RØDE Central Mobile App
- Download and open the RØDE Central mobile app
- Check if the Wireless RX appears in the device list
- If detected → the hardware is working correctly
- If not detected → the issue may be related to the cable or connection
Using the SC7 Cable (3.5mm TRRS)
You can connect your Wireless RX using a 3.5mm TRRS (SC7) cable for analogue audio.
- This connection is analogue only and will not work with RØDE apps
- If your device does not have a 3.5mm port, you will need an adapter
- iPhone (Lightning): Use an official Lightning to 3.5mm adapter (View adapter)
- Android (USB-C): Use a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter (Example adapter)
