Once you receive a RØDE USB Microphone, you can simply connect it to your computer and start using it with RØDE Connect for recording and streaming purposes. However, to make the most of the RØDE USB Microphone and RØDE Connect, we recommend considering a few things before recording.
- Make sure you update the firmware of the RØDE USB Microphone using the RØDE Central desktop app on a Mac or PC.
- This ensures that the latest features and updates are applied.
RØDE Central: You can download the latest RØDE Central desktop app from here.
- Configure the System and Virtual inputs and outputs in RØDE Connect.
- This enables you to include additional audio sources in RØDE Connect, such as remote guests and music sources.
- Ensure that you configure gain levels and audio processing in RØDE Connect.
- Depending on the microphone model, you can apply audio processing effects to improve sound quality.
- Below is a screenshot of the PodMic USB audio processing. Advanced users may enable Advanced mode for more control over processing effects.
