Microsoft Teams and many other similar programs have become popular platforms for virtual meetings and collaboration. If you are looking to enhance your Teams experience by connecting a DSLR camera with an HDMI output, the Streamer X can be a valuable tool.
Follow the steps below to connect your camera to the Streamer X and set it up with Microsoft Teams. These steps also apply to software such as Zoom or Skype.
- Connect the Streamer X to your computer using the supplied USB-C Super-Speed cable.
- Connect your camera’s HDMI output to the HDMI IN port on the Streamer X.
- Launch Microsoft Teams and navigate to the Settings menu.
- Go to the Devices section and select Streamer X as your audio and video input device.
- Use the Streamer X buttons to easily enable or disable audio and video while in a Teams call.
- If your camera feed does not appear and you see a “No Source Detected” message, refer to this article: "No Source Detected" Troubleshooting
Make a test call in Microsoft Teams to confirm your camera feed appears correctly. Verify that audio is being captured through the Streamer X as well.
You may also wish to adjust settings on both the Streamer X and Teams to suit your recording or meeting environment. For details on supported video resolutions, see: What video resolutions are compatible with the Streamer X?
