Unlike the RØDECaster Video and RØDECaster Video S, the RØDECaster Video Core does not include a built-in Series IV wireless receiver.
This means you cannot pair Series IV wireless transmitters directly to the RØDECaster Video Core.
Connecting a Wireless System to the RØDECaster Video Core
You can still use a RØDE wireless system with the RØDECaster Video Core by connecting the wireless receiver to one of the XLR/Combo inputs.
- Pair your wireless transmitters with the receiver as normal.
- Connect a 3.5 mm TRS to TRS cable, such as the SC2, to the receiver's 3.5 mm output.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a 3.5 mm to XLR adaptor, such as the VXLR+ or VXLR Pro.
- Connect the XLR adaptor to Combo Input 1 or 2 on the RØDECaster Video Core.
- Configure the input on the RØDECaster Video Core as you would any other microphone input.
Using a Dual Wireless System
If you are connecting a dual-channel wireless receiver, there are two connection methods available.
Merged Mode (Recommended)
If you are connecting to a single Combo input, we recommend setting the wireless receiver to Merged Mode. This combines both transmitters into a single audio output.
Split Mode
If you would like each transmitter to appear on its own input, you will need:
- A SC11 splitter cable
- Two XLR adaptors (such as the VXLR+ or VXLR Pro)
- Two available Combo inputs on the RØDECaster Video Core
This allows each transmitter to be routed independently to its own channel for separate mixing and processing.
