When using the RØDECaster Video, it is important to monitor the available recording time on your connected SSD or external drive. This helps prevent recordings from stopping unexpectedly due to insufficient storage.
The RØDECaster Video interface and Multiview display will notify you of the remaining recording time during use.
On-Screen Storage Alerts
You will receive alerts at the following stages:
- 30 minutes remaining – Early warning to prepare for storage limits
- 5 minutes remaining – Final warning before recording stops
- Storage full – Recording will automatically stop

Best Practice:
- Regularly check your available storage before starting a recording session
- Ensure your SSD has sufficient space for your intended recording duration
- Offload or delete old recordings to free up space when needed
