Updating the firmware of your Wireless Micro is an essential process to ensure that your device operates with the latest features and improvements.
There are two methods to perform this update: through the RØDE Central Mobile App or RØDE Central Desktop App.
Please note: Ensure transmitters are fully charged and out of the charging case for the RØDE Central app to recognise them and update the firmware. You can't connect the Wireless Micro to the RØDE Central app using the charging case.
Method 1: From RØDE Central Mobile App
- Begin by opening the RØDE Central application on your mobile device.
- Connect the Wireless Micro RX directly to your mobile device via the USB-C or Lightning Port
- Once connected, if an update is available, the app will recommend updating your Wireless Micro RX and TX units.
Method 2: From RØDE Central Desktop App
- Begin by opening the RØDE Central application on your computer.
- Connect the Wireless Micro RX via a direct USB-C port on the computer.
- If you have the Wireless Micro Lightning version, you're able to use an official Apple USB-C to Female Lightning cable to connect the RX.
- Once connected, if an update is available, you will see a red arrow indicating that a firmware update can be performed.
