Before you can record audio or join online meetings with your RØDE USB microphone, it must be selected as the default input device on your computer. The steps below show how to configure this on both Windows and macOS.
Set Your RØDE USB Microphone as the Default Input on Windows
- Connect your RØDE USB microphone directly to your computer.
- Right click the speaker icon in the Windows taskbar.
- Select Sound settings.
- Scroll to the Input section.
- Select your RØDE USB microphone from the list of available input devices.
Tip: Connecting the microphone directly to a USB port on your computer provides the most reliable connection. Avoid using USB hubs where possible.
Set Your RØDE USB Microphone as the Default Input on macOS
- Connect your RØDE USB microphone directly to your Mac.
- Open System Settings or System Preferences, depending on your version of macOS.
- Select Sound.
- Open the Input tab.
