Are you experiencing issues with your USB drive not being recognized by the RØDECaster Video? This can be a frustrating problem, but there are several important factors to consider that may help resolve the issue.
Ensure that you are Connecting your USB drive to the Correct USB Port
The RØDECaster Video has a designated USB-C port that is marked with the USB symbol. Connecting your USB drive to any of the other ports on the device will not work, so it's crucial to double-check that you are using the right one.
Avoid using USB-A to USB-C adapters and USB hubs
These adapters and hubs can introduce compatibility issues that may prevent the device from recognizing the USB drive properly.
Format your USB Drive on a computer
Another key point to consider is the file system format of your USB drive. The RØDECaster Video requires the USB drive to be formatted to exFAT. If your USB drive is formatted in a different file system, such as FAT32 or NTFS, it may not be recognized by the device.
