Updating the firmware of the Interview PRO using the RØDE Central desktop app is essential when first setting up the microphone. Firmware updates unlock new features, improve performance, and ensure full compatibility with other RØDE devices.
You can also configure device settings, adjust gain and safety channels, optimise and export on-board recordings (desktop only), set preferred recording modes, and activate or deactivate features — all within RØDE Central.
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the RØDE Central desktop app on a Mac or PC.

- After installing the latest version of RØDE Central, connect the Interview PRO directly to your computer using the included USB cable. If a firmware update is available, you will be prompted to install it.
Once updated, you can fully configure and customise the Interview PRO to suit your recording workflow.
