To set up the NT1-5th Gen with RØDE Connect, follow these steps:
- Connect the NT1-5th Gen directly to your computer using the supplied USB-C cable.
- Download the latest version of RØDE Connect from here and open the app on your Mac or Windows computer.
- Press the '+' button next to the track faders in RØDE Connect and select the NT1-5th Gen.
- If you don't see the NT1-5th Gen in the selection screen, ensure that the USB cable is securely connected to both the NT1-5th Gen and the computer.
- Once the NT1-5th Gen is selected, you'll see a new fader with the NT1 5th Gen, and you can now start recording audio with the microphone.
- To directly monitor the audio from the NT1-5th Gen, connect headphones to your computer. Then, go to the hamburger menu on the top right of RØDE Connect, select "Preferences" and choose "Monitor Out" From there, select your headphones as the output.
- It's important to note that selecting speakers as the output may result in feedback if you include the microphone in the monitor mix.
Please note: When using RØDE Connect, you won't be able to record in 32-bit format with the NT1-5th Gen. If you require 32-bit format recordings, you'll need to use a digital audio workstation (DAW) such as Reaper that supports this format.
