RØDE Connect makes it easy to use the NT1 5th Gen for podcasting, streaming, recording and online meetings. Once connected, the microphone can be added as an input and monitored directly through the software.
Before You Begin
Connect the NT1 5th Gen directly to your computer using the supplied USB C cable and ensure you have the latest version of RØDE Connect installed.
Set Up the NT1 5th Gen
- Open RØDE Connect.
- Select the + button beside the channel faders.
- Select NT1 5th Gen from the list of available devices.
Please note: If the NT1 5th Gen does not appear in the device list, confirm that the USB cable is securely connected to both the microphone and your computer.
- Once selected, a new channel for the NT1 5th Gen appears in the mixer.
- You are now ready to begin recording.
Configure Monitoring
- Connect your headphones to your computer.
- Select the menu icon in the upper right corner of RØDE Connect.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Monitor Out.
- Choose your headphones as the monitoring device.
Please note: Selecting speakers as the monitoring output may cause feedback if the microphone is included in the monitor mix. Headphones are recommended for monitoring.
Please note: RØDE Connect does not support 32 bit float recording with the NT1 5th Gen. If you need to record in 32 bit float, use a compatible digital audio workstation that supports this format.
