Clean and protect the microphone

- Use isopropyl alcohol and a microfibre cloth.
- Apply the alcohol to the cloth first — never spray directly onto the microphone.
- Gently wipe the exterior only. Avoid excessive pressure.
For added protection, consider using:
- A pop filter or foam windscreen
- These help reduce dust, moisture, and accidental impacts
Store in a suitable case or bag
A padded microphone case or storage bag is the safest option.
- Choose a case with a snug fit and adequate padding
- Some cases include space for cables or shock mounts
If a dedicated case isn’t available:
- Use a clean, dry drawer or storage container
- Add padding such as foam or cloth to prevent movement
Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity
