If you receive a message stating that the installation has failed and to contact the software developer, the installer may be blocked by macOS security settings or third party security software.
Before making any changes to your Mac, first disable any third party antivirus or security software and try running the installer again.
Troubleshooting Installation Issues
- Temporarily disable any third party antivirus or security software.
- Run the installer again.
- If the installation still fails, temporarily disable System Integrity Protection (SIP).
- Run the installer.
- Re enable System Integrity Protection after the installation has completed.
Please note: System Integrity Protection is an important macOS security feature. It should only be disabled while troubleshooting the installation and should be enabled again immediately afterwards.
