If you're experiencing low recording volume with the Wireless Series IV RX, there are several possible causes.
What Are Wireless Series IV products? These are the latest versions of products in our Wireless Series range such as the Wireless GO II, Wireless ME, Wireless PRO and Interview PRO
Camera Audio Settings:
When connecting the Wireless RX to a camera or audio recorder via 3.5mm, start with the RX set to maximum gain (0dB). Gradually adjust the recording level on the device until it averages -12 dB on the audio meter for optimal volume.
- Set Wireless RX gain to Maximum (0dB).
- Adjust the recording level on the device to average -12 dB.
Pro Tip: Connect headphones to the camera's 3.5mm headphone port to monitor audio from the Wireless RX.
Computer or Mobile:
When connecting the Wireless RX to a mobile device or computer via USB, note that the RX gain settings don't affect output. Adjust gain through the software or app on the connected device, like the RØDE Capture app for iPhones.
Pro Tip: Monitor audio levels between -12dB and -6dB in your DAW software or app.
