Muting the Podmic microphone's input is as simple as pressing the headphone volume control dial inwards when using RØDE Connect or RØDE Unify software.
If you're not using RØDE Connect and RØDE Unify software, this will turn off the headphone monitoring but the PodMic USB will still be active. To mute the Podmic USB's input using other software such as Zoom or Reaper, you'll need to mute it from the software itself.
When executed correctly, an LED next to the USB port will illuminate red, indicating both microphone muting and headphone monitoring are disabled.
To enable the PodMic USB again, press the same headphone volume dial inwards once again. A green LED will appear, signalling that the microphone is now active.
Please note: if you choose to connect the PodMic USB via an XLR connection, muting via the headphone dial is not available. Instead, you'll need to mute the microphone using the interface or mixer.
