How to update the firmware of the VideoMic ME-C

To update the VideoMic ME-C using the RØDE Reporter app on a mobile device, follow the steps below.

1. Install or update the RØDE Reporter app
   • Download or update the app from the Google Play Store .
   • Or download it from the Apple App Store .
2. Connect the VideoMic ME-C
   • Connect the VideoMic ME-C directly to your mobile device.
   • Ensure any phone case is not blocking the USB-C connection.
3. Open the RØDE Reporter app
   • Launch the RØDE Reporter app on your device.
4. Access the firmware update
   • Open Settings in the app.
   • Select Configure.
   • If a firmware update is available, you will be prompted to begin.
5. Run the firmware update
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to start the update.
   • Keep the VideoMic ME-C connected throughout the process.
   • Do not close the app or disconnect the microphone.
   • Ensure your device has at least 20% battery.
6. Wait for the update to complete
   • The app will display the update progress.
   • The process may take a few minutes.

Once the update is complete, your VideoMic ME-C will be running the latest firmware.
