While you can connect the Wireless GO II receiver to your mobile device using either an analogy or USB method to use it as a microphone for audio recording, it's important to note that the Wireless GO II cannot be used as a microphone for online communication apps like Zoom or MS Teams on mobile devices.
The limitation arises from the fact that the mobile app versions of these communication apps do not provide options to select microphone (input) or speaker (output) settings as available on computer versions. As a result, when using the mobile app, both input and output are automatically routed to the Wireless GO II. However, since the Wireless GO II doesn't function as a speaker, you won't be able to hear the recipients of your calls.
We suggest using an audio interface, such as the compact AI-Micro. This allows you to connect virtually any microphone with a 3.5mm output to a computer, smartphone or tablet. You can also connect lavalier microphones, which are great for video calls because you can clip them onto your shirt, allowing you to sit further back from your screen.
The AI-Micro features a headphone output so you can easily monitor your audio from your meeting! Simply connect your headphones and your Wireless Device with an SC2 or and SC7 into input 1 of the AI-Micro.
Then, once you join your Zoom or Teams meeting, change your input to be "Headset" this will ensure it's the AI-Micro that's being used to input and output audio.
For devices with a 3.5mm input, you can also use the SC6.
