Each Wireless GO (3rd Gen) transmitter (TX) features 32 GB of onboard memory, capable of storing up to 40 hours of 32-bit float recordings, allowing audio to be recorded directly to the transmitter as a backup or standalone recording.
Starting a Manual Recording
By default, the Wireless GO (3rd Gen) is configured for Manual onboard recording.
To start recording:
- Press the Record button on the top of the transmitter.
- The REC LED will illuminate red, indicating that onboard recording has started.
- Press the same button again to stop the recording.
Automatically Recording When Powered On
If you would like the transmitter to begin recording automatically every time it is powered on, you can enable Always recording mode using RØDE Central.
Once enabled, the transmitter will begin recording immediately after it is switched on and continue recording until it is powered off.
Enabling Always Recording in RØDE Central
To change the onboard recording mode:
- Open RØDE Central on your computer.
- Select your Wireless GO (3rd Gen) transmitter.
- Locate the Onboard Recording setting.
- Select either:
- Manual (default)
- Always
Recording Status
When Always recording is enabled, a red recording indicator appears beside the transmitter channel on the Wireless GO (3rd Gen) receiver, making it easy to confirm that onboard recording is active.
