Although the Wireless Micro is designed primarily for mobile devices, it can also be connected to computers, RØDECaster products and cameras using the appropriate receiver. The sections below explain how to connect the Wireless Micro to each supported device.
Using the Wireless Micro with a Computer
- Connect the Wireless Micro receiver to an available USB C port on your computer or USB docking station.
- Open your computer's sound settings.
- Select the Wireless Micro receiver as your default microphone or input device.
- You are now ready to record or join calls using the Wireless Micro.
Tip: The Lightning edition of the Wireless Micro can also be used with compatible USB C devices when connected using the official Apple USB C to Lightning Adapter .
Using the Wireless Micro with a RØDECaster
RØDECaster Video
- Connect the Wireless Micro receiver to USB 4 or USB 5.
- Assign the selected USB input to an active channel in the audio menu.
RØDECaster Pro II
- Connect the Wireless Micro receiver to USB 2.
- Assign USB 2 to an active channel.
Using the Wireless Micro with a Camera
The standard Wireless Micro kit includes either a USB C receiver or a Lightning receiver. To connect the system to a camera using a 3.5 mm audio input, you will need a Wireless Micro Camera Receiver.
Camera options:
- Wireless Micro Camera Kit includes both a mobile receiver and a dedicated Camera Receiver.
- If you already own a Wireless Micro, you can purchase the Wireless Micro Camera Receiver separately.
Using the Wireless Micro Camera Receiver via USB
In addition to providing a 3.5 mm output for cameras, the Wireless Micro Camera Receiver can also function as a USB audio device.
- Connect it directly to a computer using USB.
- Connect it to a RØDECaster Pro II using USB 2.
- Connect it to a RØDECaster Video using USB 4 or USB 5.
Please note: When connecting to a RØDECaster, ensure the corresponding USB input has been assigned to an active channel before use.
