You can connect the USB-C Wireless Micro to non-mobile devices, including computers and RØDECaster products. This allows you to use the Wireless Micro beyond phones and tablets.
Using the Wireless Micro with a computer
- Connect the Wireless Micro receiver to an available USB-C port on your computer or docking station.
- The Wireless Micro RX will appear as a microphone input in your system sound settings.
- Select it as your input and you’re ready to go.
Pro tip: This also applies to the Lightning Wireless Micro (Lightning edition) when used with the official Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter , allowing it to be connected to non-Apple devices.
Using the Wireless Micro with a RØDECaster Video or RØDECaster Pro II
- For RØDECaster Video, connect the Wireless Micro receiver to USB 4 or USB 5.
- Ensure USB 4 or USB 5 is assigned as an active channel in the audio menu.
- For RØDECaster Pro II, connect the Wireless Micro receiver to USB 2.
- Make sure USB 2 is assigned to an active channel.
Using the Wireless Micro with a camera
- The Wireless Micro includes either a USB-C or Lightning receiver, so an additional receiver is required for camera use.
- Choose the Wireless Micro Camera Kit if you want both a USB-C receiver and a dedicated Camera Receiver.
- If you already own a Wireless Micro kit, you can add the stand-alone Wireless Micro Camera Receiver to enable 3.5mm camera connections.
Using the Wireless Micro Camera Receiver via USB
- Connect it to a computer.
- Connect it to a RØDECaster Pro II via USB 2.
- Connect it to a RØDECaster Video via USB 4 or USB 5.
